He was a 1994 graduate of Brother Rice High School and is the school's all-time leading scorer and rebounder. He was a member of the 1994 All-State team and a three-time All Catholic League player. Coach Sexton played division 1 basketball at Creighton University and UIC where in 1998 he was part of the Flames first NCAA tournament team. Coach Sexton has worked with hundreds of players over the last 15 years including as an instructor at the Coach Hallberg Instructional Program and for two years as Coach Pat Richardson's head assistant coach at Brother Rice.
